Medical-grade Mānuka honey must meet a minimum MGO level of 357+. However, MGO alone can be chemically manipulated and isn't sufficient to validate authentic Mānuka honey.

While our skincare formulations are designed for cosmetic use rather than medical treatment, they contain the same hospital-grade Mānuka honey used in medical settings.

Unlike many "sensitive skin" formulations that simply remove ingredients or use minimal actives, we take a restorative approach. We add beneficial ingredients specifically chosen to strengthen sensitive skin—led by medical-grade Mānuka honey's anti-inflammatory, microbiome-balancing, and barrier-strengthening properties. This means you get both gentleness and powerful results.

Mānuka honey has a naturally low pH (high acidity) that works to balance your skin's pH level. If your skin has a naturally higher pH, you may notice slight temporary redness as the Mānuka actively rebalances it to a healthier state.
This is most noticeable with high-concentration of Mānuka in products like our Essence (20% Mānuka) and Mask (100% Mānuka). The redness typically subsides within 2-4 days as your skin adjusts, revealing a more even, balanced, and glowing complexion.
This is a sign that the Mānuka is working to restore your skin's optimal pH balance. However, if redness persists beyond a week or is accompanied by irritation, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
Yes. Mānuka honey's anti-inflammatory and skin-barrier strengthening properties actually complement most active ingredients. However, because some AUNU products have a naturally low pH, we recommend:
With acids (AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C): Use AUNU products first, wait 10-15 minutes, then apply acids
With retinol: Apply retinol first, wait 10-15 minutes, then seal with AUNU (particularly our Night Cream or Salve)
Layering order: Thinnest to thickest—Essence, serums/treatments, Night Cream, then Salve if needed

Yes. AUNU products are safe for all life stages, including during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Our formulas are made with clean, medical-grade natural ingredients and contain no harsh chemicals or known pregnancy contraindications. As with any skincare, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider if you have specific concerns. While AUNU products are for external use only, please note that — like all honey — they should not be ingested by children under 1 year of age.

Yes. All AUNU packaging is designed for recyclability and sustainability. Our containers use distinct, single materials with no mixed-material components:
Bodies: Glass or aluminum (fully recyclable)
Caps: PP plastic with no microplastics (fully recyclable)
Boxes: FSC-certified recycled paper (fully recyclable with paper products)
Simply separate the cap from the body and recycle each component accordingly.

All of our orders are shipped from our main warehouse located in New York, USA.
Because we ship worldwide, the shipping couriers vary by region and are subject to change from time to time.
We try to get to orders as quickly as we receive them and in most cases fulfill orders within 1 business day. Fulfillment times may vary during peak periods such as after/during product launches, holidays and special promotions.
We use various couriers depending on the destination and, as a result, shipping times may vary. You will receive an email from AUNU once your order has shipped with your tracking number for each order, along with a tracking link.
Please note that shipping timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. We work as hard as we can to try to meet all delivery estimates, but sometimes there may be delays - e.g. because of postal/carrier delays, logistics, bad weather, or things out of our control.

International shipping is $15 USD.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase made through the AUNU website, you can return any unwanted products that are within 30 days from the date of purchase as stated on your invoice/receipt.
Please note that items purchased as a set must be returned in full in order to be eligible for a refund. Partial refunds will not be offered.
